BIO:

My name is Kristan Etheridge. I am from Andalusia, AL and a graduate of Straughn High School. I have a Bachelor's Degree in K-6 Elementary Education and K-12 Special Education from The University of South Alabama. I have a Master's Degree in K-6 Elementary Education and P-12 Reading Specialist from The University of South Alabama. I also have a Master's certification in K-12 Instructional Leadership (Administration) from The University of Alabama.

This is my 9th year in education. I taught 1st grade for two years at Griggs Elementary in Mobile, AL, where I received the Alabama Power New Teacher of the Year Grant. I taught 4th grade for two years at Andalusia Elementary in Andalusia, AL, and was named The University of South Alabama's Reading Specialist of the Year. This will be my 5th year as a resource teacher at RLS, and I have enjoyed every second of it. In addition to serving students with special needs, I also provide intervention and oversee the Edmentum learning platforms.

I have been married to my husband, Jeffry, for 8 years. He is a Chemical Engineer for UOP Honeywell in Mobile, AL. We have two beautiful little girls. Tenley is 6 years old and excited to begin first grade this year. Laney just turned one year old and is on the go. Our spare time is spent dancing, tumbling, and watching Disney movies on repeat.

Red Level is a special place to be, and I look forward to another wonderful school year. Go Tigers!
